Part 4 - Interactive Application Services

The CTep provides you different applications in order to:

  • Manage your files
  • Open your products with different tools (QGis, SNAP)
  • Edit your scripts
  • Shared files with other users
  • And other functionnalities

This part will show you how to use some of these tools.

I. Go to the Interactive Application Services page

1. Click on the Geobrowser menu and select the Interactive Application Services

2. You can now see the different available services.

II. Open a product with QGis

1. Click on the Start new button in Qgis row. A dialog box will appear. (Check the Shared option if you want to share your session with other users). Then start the container.

2. A new dialog box will appear. Click on Connect to start.

3. QGis will open directly in your virtual environment.

4. Go to your basket to select a file.

5. For example a netCDF globcolour file. Open and visualize it.

III. Develop on Ubuntu

1. Click on the Start new button in Ubuntu row. A dialog box will appear. Then start the container.

2. A new dialog box will appear. Click on Connect to start.

3. Open a terminal.

4. And create a shell script.

5. Edit it with Leafpad for example and run it!

IV. Shared a product with other users

1. If you want to share your session with other users, you can return to the Interactive Application Service page and click on the Share container button. You can do that for all the services.

2. Then click on Copy Share URL button. It will copy a link to your clipboard.

3. Send the link to other users (by email for example) to share your session. (e.g: https://coastal-tep.eo.esa.int//ias-apps/ctep1@evo-pdgs/qgis/qgis/1e2349d6-b2cd-4fc7-9761-a34bbf221327/vnc_auto.html?path=/ias-apps/ctep1@evo-pdgs/qgis/qgis/1e2349d6-b2cd-4fc7-9761-a34bbf221327/websockify&autoconnect=1&autoscale=0&quality=3&title=QGIS)
